Meet: Marc Woodward
Marc Woodward (Desert/Mountain) brings decades of experience in law enforcement, corporate security, and corrections. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Management from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Master’s degree in Business Organizational Management from the University of Laverne.
Marc’s career began with the Honolulu Police Department, where he served as a Patrol Officer and Vice Investigator from 1977 to 1985. He then joined the Anchorage Police Department, where his service spanned 20 years, from 1985 to 2005. During his time in Anchorage, Marc held roles as a Patrol Officer, Backgrounds Investigator, Detective Supervisor, and Narcotics Unit Supervisor, as well as serving as the (T/A) Commander. Notably, Marc spent 10 years as a Major Crime Scene Investigator specializing in homicide cases.
After a brief retirement from 2005 to 2008, Marc returned to the workforce as a Corporate Security Investigator for FedEx Express from 2008 to 2013. Following this, he joined the Hawaii Department of Corrections as the Security Coordinator, where he provided management oversight of physical security across all facilities, led security audits, and tested and evaluated security products and technology from 2013 to 2021.
With a wealth of knowledge in security and law enforcement, Marc continues to contribute his expertise in his current role, helping agencies find solutions to improve safety and efficiency.
