Meet: Amy Brag

Amy Brag (Northeast) brings more than 20 years of corrections leadership experience to Command Sourcing, along with a strong academic foundation and a passion for advancing correctional operations. Since joining the Cumberland County Department of Corrections in 2001, she has served in progressively responsible leadership roles, including Correctional Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Administrative Captain, and currently Security and Operations Captain. In her current position, Amy oversees facility operations, staff development, training, security programs, and interagency coordination while helping ensure the safe and efficient operation of one of New Jersey’s correctional facilities.
Amy holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science - Criminal Justice from Eastern Gateway Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice: Justice Administration from Tiffin University, where she graduated with distinction and a 4.0 GPA. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice Leadership through Liberty University’s Helms School of Government.
Throughout her career, Amy has developed expertise in correctional operations, staff supervision, policy development, inmate transportation, training, and facility security. She has completed extensive professional development in leadership, mental health awareness, PREA compliance, instructor development, and correctional best practices.
At Command Sourcing, Amy combines her operational experience and educational background to help correctional agencies identify and implement solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. Her firsthand understanding of the challenges facing today’s detention facilities allows her to provide practical guidance and trusted support to agencies throughout the region.
